The GSW-2416SF is a great SME switch for mixed copper and fiber networks. With 24 x 10/100/1000 Base-T and 16 slots for Gigabit fiber modules it's a very flexible device.

Equipped with 24 Gigabit copper ports (RJ45) and 16 SFP slots for Mini-GBIC modules shared with port 9-24. There are 4 different modules available right now: Multi mode for a distance of up to ~500 meters (MGB-SX) and single mode (MGB-LX, MGB-L50, MGB-L70) for distances between 10 and 70 km. You can for example set up a 16 port fiber gigabit switch with 8 port copper gigabit, or use less fiber modules so you automatically have more copper ports available.
The switch is equipped with a very easy web management (Web Smart) that allows you to configure the most important features: Bandwidth control per port, port based VLAN, port mirroring (for network sniffing/analysis), proprietary port trunking for connecting two of those switches at higher speed of 2 Gbps.
